On October 4, 2023, Prof. John P. A. from Stanford University and Elsevier Data Repository jointly released the 2023 version of the Stanford University World Ranking of Top 2% Scientists List, which is also the sixth version (Version 6). University World Ranking of Top 2% Scientists List), is also the sixth version (Version 6). 12 scholars from the Metaverse team are on the list, among that, 6 scholars are on the list of "Whole career World Top 2% Scientists" and 10 are on list of "2022 World Top 2% Scientists". Prof. Pan Zhigeng, Prof. Brij B. Gupta, and Associate Prof. Lv Zhihan were selected again in 2023 after being listed among the top 2% of the world's scientists in 2022.
