Good News! On October 10th, Stanford University released the 2022 edition of the World's Top 2% Scientists list. Our Editor-in-Chief Prof. Zhigeng Pan ranked here. This list is based on Scopus which is Elsevier's abstract and citation database launched in 2004, covering nearly 36,377 titles from approximately 11,678 publishers, among which 34,346 are peer-reviewed journals in top-level subject fields. 40 languages are included there. Six metrics were used for scoring: 1. Total citations; 2. Hirsch H-index; 3. Co-author-corrected Schreiber Hm-index; 4. Sole author; 5. Sole or first author; 6. Citations of articles by sole, first or corresponding author. The 2022 edition of the list covers 200409 scientists during the period 1960-2022 worldwide.

The Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Zhigeng Pan is the Dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence at Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology in China. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the Department of Computer Science at Nanjing University, in 1987 and 1990, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree was received in 1993 from Zhejiang University. He has published more than 200 papers in international journals, national journals and international conferences. His research interests include virtual reality, intelligent systems and HCI. Currently, he is a member of SIGGRAPH, IEEE and IFIP Technical Committee on Entertainment Computing (acting as a representative from China). He is also on the director board of the International Society of VSMM (Virtual System and Multimedia). |
