This article primarily explores the water quality characteristics of the main rivers surrounding Erhai Lake and estimates their pollution loads. Through the analysis of river water quality, it aims to reveal pollution sources and their impact on the ecological environment of Erhai Lake.

In the study, the water quality data of the main rivers were systematically collected and analyzed, focusing on key indicators such as total nitrogen, ammonia nitrogen, total phosphorus, and chemical oxygen demand. Additionally, by combining data on precipitation and water inflow within the basin, the pollution loads of each river were estimated. This process not only helps identify major pollution sources but also provides a scientific basis for subsequent water quality management and protection measures.

Furthermore, the research results will serve as a reference for developing effective water resource management strategies to protect the ecosystem of Erhai Lake and achieve sustainable water quality. Through these efforts, it is hoped to raise public awareness of water quality protection and promote ecological environment improvement in the region.
