 Wearable Technology (WT) provides a medium for disseminating significant advances in wearable technology. The peer-reviewed open-access journal welcomes submissions from worldwide researchers, and practitioners in the field of wearable technology, which can be original research articles, review articles, case reports, commentaries, etc. 

Topics of this journal include, but are not limited to:

  • Editorial Process

Preliminary assessment: 3 days

Peer review: 4 - 6 weeks
Final decision: 2 weeks
Production for online publication: 1 week

  • Indexing & Archiving
  1. All the articles published online will be archived by Portico for long-term digital preservation.
  2. Authors are encouraged to self-archive the final version of their published articles into institutional repositories (such as those listed in the Directory of Open Access Repositories).
  3. Authors are also encouraged to use the final PDF version published on the website of Wearable Technology.
  • Article Processing Charges

The Article Processing Charges is US $800. The charges will come from authors' institutes or research funding bodies.

Waiver Policy

WT is committed to promoting the academic development in the world without any financial barrier to knowledge sharing and learning. There has developed a waiver policy especially for authors from low-income countries. Authors who are interested in applying for a waiver could contact editorial-wt@apacsci.com. WT reserves the right to approve or reject a waiver application.

 

  • How to submit

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it under consideration of another journal (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  5. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
