Special Issue Information

In our journal Pollution Study, a special issue is calling for papers about water pollution.

Pollution, or environmental pollution, is the introduction of any substance or any form of energy to the environment at a rate faster than it can be decomposed, dispersed, recycled, diluted, or stored in a certain harmless form. It is caused by natural effects or human activities. Common major types of pollution contain water pollution, air pollution, soil contamination, light pollution, noise pollution, plastic pollution, radioactive contamination, thermal pollution, visual pollution and so on.

Pollution harms the environment and human health is being destroyed by the polluted environment. Due to contamination of drinking water by untreated sewage in developing countries, water pollution causes approximately 14,000 deaths per day. On October 31st, 2021, the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP26 was held in Glasgow, it put forward four goals, and water was at the center of all of them because the climate crisis is a water crisis.

The problem of water pollution is a common concern for all mankind. Thats why we decide to set up a special issue about water pollution. All topics about water pollution are welcome, such as causes of water pollution, effects of water pollution, solutions or control of water pollution, ocean pollution, water pollutants, cases, etc.
