In our journal Eco cities, a special issue is calling for papers about detailed problems faced in the construction of eco-cites.

For any person, the ecological environment is very important, it can provide for human survival and development of material basis and the necessary variety of other conditions. We can say that human existence and development are dependent on a suitable environment. However, our economic and social development has already caused damage to the environment, the ecology of our cities is a very important part of their development and change, and has a huge impact on human survival and development. The concept of eco-city came into being, it is affordable in the city within the ecological, the use of the principle of sustainable development and the basic principles of ecological economics, urban economic way of promoting change from the point of view, to improve the city environmental quality to seize the city�s main line of the industrial structure adjustment of the layout to play the city�s resources, through overall planning and promote the comprehensive development of the city�s ability to achieve sustainable socio-economic development.

In the construction of eco-cities, various and a constant stream of problems have been encountered. How to evaluate a waste logistics system? How to design an eco-city�s spatial structure? Have London made any progress in governing air pollution? How to restore the urban river ecosystem? What role do urban green areas play in eco-cities? 

Even though the problems cannot be solved completely, we are looking forward to having the answers found in this special issue. Welcome to submit articles about all topics on the construction problems of eco-cities.
