Section Collection Information
Dear Colleagues,
Wearable devices have become ubiquitous in recent years, with users relying on these devices for a range of applications, from tracking physical activity to monitoring health and controlling smart homes. However, the processing of the vast amounts of data generated by these devices presents significant challenges, including data compression, feature extraction, and machine learning algorithms for wearable devices.
This special issue invites researchers to submit original research articles that address the challenges and opportunities associated with the processing of wearable device data. We welcome contributions that focus on algorithms and techniques for handling wearable device data in real-time, as well as those that explore the potential applications of wearable device data processing.
Topics of interest for this section include, but are not limited to:
Data compression techniques for wearable devices
Feature extraction and selection methods for wearable device data
Machine learning algorithms for processing wearable device data
Real-time processing of wearable device data
Applications of wearable device data processing, such as health monitoring and fitness tracking
We encourage submissions that use a range of data formats, including audio, video, and sensor data, and that explore the unique characteristics of wearable device data. We also welcome submissions that address the ethical considerations associated with wearable device data processing.
Overall, this section aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the state-of-the-art in wearable device data processing and to highlight the challenges and opportunities associated with this emerging field.
We look forward to receiving submissions from researchers working in this area.
