Dear Colleagues, 


The great development in technology forces the transportation system to become smarter than before. Intelligent Transportation System is the result of the improvement of technology in transportation. By using this approach, every vehicle and roadside unit connected to each other and started to share any traffic-related information such as traffic congestion, road closure, time travel, accidents, etc. By the time the gathered information is received by a server, it can be processed, distributed, and used as traffic prediction systems, vehicle movement predictions, traffic management systems, or other systems. Intelligent Transportation System is trying to contribute to reducing pollution by minimizing traffic congestion which could be air pollution. Traffic congestion can be predicted using artificial intelligence or machine learning, so the drivers can decide their route effectively and have minimum time travel in their journey. From another point of view, the intelligent transportation system also helps the community who use public transportation systems by delivering information about the arrival time of their vehicles.


Thus, we are interested in the development of technology around transportation systems, such as autonomous vehicles, communication between vehicles, information systems for travelers, traffic-free routing recommendation systems for drivers and vehicles, traffic management systems, predicting traffic conditions, traffic balancer for reducing pollutions, and other implementations of technology in the sector of transportation, especially in Urban Transportation Systems.


For this, it is important to collect the experiences of different technologies in transportation systems which collaborated using other studies such as environmental aspects, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, or other studies. Research articles and reviews in this area of study are welcome. We look forward to receiving your contributions.
