Dear colleagues,

As the world's population continues to grow and urbanization accelerates, the construction sector faces increasing pressure to reduce its environmental impact. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is an effective tool for evaluating the environmental performance of construction materials and practices over their entire life cycle, from raw material extraction to end-of-life disposal. LCA provides a comprehensive evaluation of the environmental impacts of building materials and practices, including their energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, water use, and waste generation.

In the context of city construction, LCA can play a critical role in guiding sustainable urban development. By evaluating the environmental performance of different building materials, construction methods, and designs, LCA can help identify opportunities to reduce the environmental impact of city construction while also improving the quality of life for urban residents. This collection brings together research on LCA in city construction, highlighting the latest advances in the field and exploring new ways to promote sustainable urban development.

We look forward to receiving your contributions.
