Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Maintaining homeostasis is essential for cellular life in all tissues and organs. Oral dysbiosis could create systemic imbalances. A better understanding of the mechanisms associated with homeostasis and the impact of its deregulation on other organs is essential for the development of new therapeutic approaches and strategies to improve diseases.
Medicine and dentistry are undergoing a period of profound change thanks to the experimentation of new materials and stem cells, and the use of artificial intelligence for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
Oral diseases and some of the major systemic diseases including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer and chronic respiratory disease share modifiable risk factors, known to have a negative impact on both oral and systemic health.
Collaboration across medical disciplines is central to modern healthcare.
Our Special issue is a space dedicated to presenting the most recent advances and innovations in the field of medicine and dentistry , focusing on the point where research, technology and cutting-edge practice come together to improve patient care, clinical results and overall progress.
We encourage the submission of original research papers, case reports, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and narrative reviews.
