Dear Colleagues,
Pediatric Urology is a surgical subspecialty focused on the evaluation and treatment of congenital and acquired disorders of the genitourinary tract in infants, children, and adolescents. It involves management of genital and urinary problems that occur in children of all ages, with a special emphasis on developmental problems that affect the kidneys, bladder, urethra, and genital tract. The field has matured and established its diverse body of knowledge and expertise. It presents a unique challenge as it covers a large area with many different schools of thought and a huge diversity in management. Technological advances and non-invasive diagnostic screening modalities have had a profound influence on treatment modalities in pediatric urology. This field is crucial as it ensures the health and well-being of the younger population, significantly impacting their quality of life as they grow into adulthood.
The main objectives of this section are to publish work on all aspects of genitourinary diseases of childhood, from experimental research to clinical papers. The aim is to present cutting-edge advances in the specialty, to stimulate new research in all areas of pediatric urology, and to promote discussion on the numerous controversial areas of this specialty.
This section can help advancing the knowledge and specially surgeries in this section by providing a platform for sharing the latest findings, innovations, and best practices in pediatric urology. Also, can foster collaboration and communication among researchers, clinicians, and educators in the field. By disseminating high quality and evidence-based information, we can contribute to the improvement of diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes of pediatric urological conditions and also can inspire new ideas and directions for future research and development in this section.
