Bio Statement  

Dr. Rajesh Kumar Singhal is currently working as a scientist in the Division of Crop Improvement, ICAR-Indian Grassland and Fodder Research Institute, Jhansi (U.P) India. He has received his graduation from MPKV, Rahuri, Post-graduation from UAS Bengaluru, and PhD from IAS, BHU India. He has eight year experience in different area of Plant Physiology aspects such as drought stress tolerance in rice and wheat crop, seed priming, artificial night light pollution, root physiology, multiple abiotic stresses and metabolism related to different crops. Currently he is working on the 6 projects as Co-PI including fodder oat improvement, oat modelling for climate change, and abiotic stress in forage crops. He has published more than 68 research items in reputed journals such as Frontier in Plant Science, Frontier in Agronomy, Physiologia Plantarum, Plant breeding, and Journal of Plant Growth regulation. He also published chapters with the Elsevier, Springer and Taylor& Francis. In addition he has also published MCQ book “A quick approach to Plant Physiology, Biochemistry and Biotechnology” 1st (2018) 2nd (2020) and Experimental Plant physiology and Biochemistry manual. Currently 3 books Multiple Abiotic Stress Tolerance in Higher Plants; Addressing the Growing Challenges (CRC Taylor& Francis Group), Molecular Interventions for Developing Climate Smart crops; A Forage Perspective (Springer), Impact of High Night Temperature on Plant Biology; Toward Sustainable Plant Adaptation to Climate Change. (Apple academy; Taylor& Francis Group) (Ongoing). Also, Dr. Singhal has received NTS, JRF and SRF during degree programme; awarded by Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) India.
