Currently, Dr. Muhammad Shahid Anwar is working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of AI and Software (HCI-Lab) at Gachon University, South Korea. His research is focusing on VR/AR and Metaverse QoE and various multimedia and VR applications, including videos, Virtual Human assistants for remote health, telemedicine systems, and VR-based education. He is passionate about user research and user involvement in user-centric technology. The activities are linked to humantechnology immersive media experiences (QoE, User Engagement, and immersive experiences) and human-technology behaviour, related methodological challenges. Dr. Muhammad Shahid Anwar have authored or co-authored more than 45 publications, including IEEE, Springer, IET, Hindawi, MDPI, Frontiers journals, and flagship conference papers. Dr. Muhammad Shahid Anwar have been honoured with the “Outstanding Scholar of the Year 2020 Award" from the CSC Scholarship Council under the Ministry of Education of China. He also received the “Excellent Student of the Year 2020 Award" from the Beijing Institute of Technology, China. |
