Abstract
In 2018, Richard Register put forward the eco-city concept in Ecocity Builders defining it as "a human settlement modeled on the self-sustaining resilient structure and function of natural ecosystems". Eco-cities are commonly considered ecologically healthy. Our Eco Cities (EC) is an open-access journal, which provides a forum for studies in the field of urban ecology and sustainability.
